My name is Jenn and I just bought tickets to see your performance with Motley Crue and the NY Dolls at the Hollywood Bowl on June 14th. I am extremely excited to attend this concert, and not just because I am die hard metal fan and have grown up listening to your powerful lyrics and symphonic chords, but because this would have been the dream concert my father would have taken me to, if he had not passed away last year from Cancer. His birthday would have been on June 15th, the day after you perform in the location nearest to me. He would have been 53. This is an extremely important concert for me to attend and I intend to bring some of his ashes with me to the show so he can enjoy the concert next to me. I paid a pretty hefty sum to be there as well, being a college student working on her Masters and all, but I am not complaining. This show is more than worth it to me.

However, there was one thing that I was hoping any of you could help me with. My brother, who will be 11 this year, is having a really hard time dealing with my father's passing. As I said, he died last year on February 12th, about three weeks after becoming ill and finding out that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. My little brother has not found the time to grieve or to comprehend what it's like to live without a father. After buying the tickets, I found out that he would have loved to attend the concert. It seems as though he has taken a liking to my father's music collection and has integrated into his own life - bottling his emotions up and only finding solace in the music. When I purchased the tickets, there were only two seats left near the area that I was in. I do not know how I can find a seat next to me. I am in Promenade E, Row 16, Seats 37 and 39. If there is anything that you could do in order to find a way that I can have my little brother with me at this concert, I know that it would mean the world to him and show him just how amazing my father's favorite rockers are, both musically, as well as humanly.

If this is unable to happen, and I completely understand if there is no way that you can do this, I was hoping that I could purchase a shirt for both him and my two sisters (one being 27 and the other being 5 ) and have the members of the band sign it for him. This would be the most amazing gift that I could give him. And he would know that my father is there with him, and looking out for him.

I know that this is a lot to ask. And I am not sure if you will even be reading this, but I am hoping with the musical cacophony of all the metal gods, that somehow this letter finds it away beneath the eyes of someone that can perform this wonderful task. Please. It would mean the world to him.

Thank you so much,
Jennifer Steidley

P.S. During my dad's service, his slideshow played both Motley Crue's HOME SWEET HOME as well as Poision's EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORN. My dad was a true fan. This would have been his dream concert. And I know he will be there for me in spirit. Also, on his birthday, I will be getting a tattoo in his memory of a sugar skull, and within the eyes of the skull I will be placing the THEATRE OF PAIN symbol - it was the tattoo my dad wanted before he passed away. Like I said, a true fan.
